Guardian Artificial Lawns is a trading name of Guardian Builders Ltd, registered in England. We can be contacted at info@guardian-builders.com or by phone on 01634 557852. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller of any personal data you provide to us.
2. The information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address (optional)
- Your address or postcode
- Any message or project details you choose to share
We do not knowingly collect special category personal data (such as health, religion or biometric data).
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a site survey
- Prepare a written quote for your project
- Schedule and complete any installation work you instruct
- Contact you about a current job or warranty matter
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly asked us to.
4. Lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interest to respond to your enquiry, and contract if you go on to instruct us for an installation. Where we contact you about marketing or non-essential communications, we rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. How long we keep your data
Enquiry records are retained for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are securely deleted. Records relating to completed installations are retained for the duration of the product guarantee (10 years) plus six years thereafter, in line with HMRC and consumer-rights guidance.
6. Who we share data with
We share limited data with carefully selected service providers who help us run the business:
- Resend — to deliver transactional emails (such as the email notifying us of your enquiry).
- MongoDB Atlas — secure cloud database hosting for our enquiry records.
- HMRC / our accountants — for legal and tax record-keeping where work is invoiced.
We do not share your data with advertising networks or third-party marketers.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk
